A Play on Tenses
Can the past ever stay in the past?
The answer is... never.
Why is that?
precisely 'coz the past helped you get to where you are now, the present.

can you erase the past?
sure, if you go through that whole 'ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND' procedure...
but that ain't possible.

can the past stay in the past?
answer is never.
can a bitter past stay in the past?
answer is... possible - for in order to progress, sometimes man needs to forget. and of course bitter pasts come with light bulb realizations where you learn from mistakes, and try not to make them again.
can an annoying past stay in the past?
that is beyond our control.

What's my favorite tense?
The future.
Is the future possible?
Of course. A dream is wish that the heart makes.
Is the future probable?
With this 'End of the World' fiasco, it might not be.
Is it bad to keep dreaming if the future isn't probable?
Of course not! Man has gotta dream and have a point to which he treads.

Is my present ok?
Yep.
Is my present better than my past?
No. it lacks a proponent that i dreamt would be in my future.
Will my present ever be better than my past?
I don't think so, but a new future may just be as splendid as the future I had always wanted.
Is it worth it to continue living the present?
Of course, even if the future is improbable.

I have no idea why, but something posessed me to recall the lyrics to that song. It was from cinderella right? But then whatever it is, if you're going to sing it... then you might as well listen to it. :)

a dream is a wish your heart makes...
"...When you're fast asleep
In dreams you lose your heartaches
Whatever you wish for, you keep

No matter how your heart is grieving
If you keep on believing
The dream that you wish will come true
So dream

and to continue..

have faith in your dreams and someday, your rainbow will come shining through.. no matter how your heart is grieving, if you keep on believing, the dream that you wish will come true

hmmmmmmmm... i think i used to dwell on the past too much because i wanted to hold on to something beautiful. it can be healthy to a certain extent but when taken to extremes, its not pretty. i agree that the future is the best tense yet there's always that feeling of foreboding or that feeling of the unknown.

if you told the aissa two years ago that i am who i am right now, i would have probably laughed my head off.

there's that saying (i cant exactly phrase it properly haha)that if you continue to live in the past, you cant truly see the present, and if you live in the future, you forget about today. Its today that matters. :)

is aissa rivera in livejournal now? haha :D welcome to our wonderful world :D

for some reason, i like the feeling of the unknown. its spurs my imagination to work and weave this dream and scenario that i sorta hold on to.
